Green Measures

To support the concept of waste reduction and recycling, The Registry has the following green measures for this event.  We hope to bring out the awareness of environmental protection apart from doing charity.  Let’s make our contributions to the environment!

  1. In partnership with Green Earth, we will be setting up recycling stations in the site. Recycling materials include plastic bottles, plastic bags, paper products and tin cans, etc. Participants, please try to make the best use of all the recycling facilities.

  2. We will be setting up water stations and a small number of disposable cups will be supplied. We strongly encourage participants to bring your own water bottles to minimize the use of disposable cups.

  3. For any excessive or unwanted souvenirs, please pass to our staff for future events/activities.

Other gentle reminders

To reduce the nuisance to surrounding residents and shops, we have the following gentle reminders to participants:

  1. Please try to take public transportation to the site as much as possible. Very limited local car parks are available which may not be enough for a sudden increase in incoming of outside vehicles. Also excessive traffic will overload nearby streets and will affect the in and out of nearby residents.

  2. Please leave the site as soon as the race is finished in order to reduce the nuisance may cause to the residents.

  3. Please refrain from speaking loudly and try to avoid producing any noise while waiting for the race.

  4. Be sure to bring all belongings with you when you leave. Any waste can be placed in the recycle bins or waste bins provided on the site. Let’s work together to keep our environment clean and tidy.

We hope to have a very smooth run on the day while not creating any inconvenience to the daily life of nearby residents.  Your attention to this is highly appreciated.
